Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone! =)
Ok, i know my doodle sucks. But I don't care!! It's still a good doodle! *haha*
It's the year of the Pig! So eat up and get fat!

My Chinese New Year always involves a lot of travelling. This year, traffic was alright on the way back home. But traffic was craaaawling while coming back here. Oh, and the woman beside me kept sucking her teeth that made this irritating *scheeet* sound. *Sheesh*, no manners at all!

Anyway, Chinese New Year is not an *all so happy* occasion for me.
I used to like it when i was young cuz my grandma had a sundry shop that had lots of sweets and my sis and I would stock up bags of sweets and eat them on our way back home! Oh! and not forgeting the fire crackers!

Now, i feel queasy whenever i'm back. All the gossipy aunties, fierce uncles, wild whinny cousins and the same old conversations that take place every year:

"Oh, what are you doing now?"
"Still studying?"
"Wah, so fast you grow up already"
"Next year graduate already?"
"Wah, grow up so fast already"
"So what is your sister doing?"
"You all stay together?"
"Still in Singapore ar?"
etc etc...

Anyway, stopping from all this negativity, this time round we celebrated our grandma's 80th Birthday!

And during this Chinese New Year, my mom has been great! *haha* i think she's becoming more open minded as she ages. Although the nagginess has not changed. I hope I won't become a naggy person =P.

However, I think my dad is the total opposite of my mom! *sigh* And he's becoming more and more forgetful. I'd better start earning some money so that he can get a good rest.

So that's my CNY!

More presents and Sushi =)

JS saw my previous post about the gifts he bought me for valentine's, and then he said: "What about the wallet i bought for you?!?". *Hahaha*

You see, my old wallet tore and i badly needed a new one. Otherwise my important documents would happily drop out without my knowing. So we were at this wallet shop a few weeks ago and he offered to buy me a new wallet. *Aw* . And he said it's for my valentine's day present. Well, a very "be-earlied" one.

Actually, he said i only could use it after valentine's day. But i couldn't wait and started using it the day after we bought it *haha*.

Anyway, my wallet's yellow! It's kinda unique cause people would go for black, white etc. But i felt this yellow is kinda funky and would stand out. JS thinks it's nice too =). It's big and has lots of compartments that i need! *Thanks so much for it dear!*

Anyway, we ate at Suki Sushi for Valentine's day yesterday. We went to Choa Chu Kang cause we wanted to avoid the crowd in Town or Sentosa. But we weren't exactly right in the "avoiding" part. There was a long queue in front of Suki Sushi when we got there.

As you can see, i'm standing behind those bunch of people! But luckily, the queue moved quite fast and soon enough we were at our table eating sushi! =)

My favourite sushi is salmon sushi!! Yummy! Especially dipped in wasabi and soy sauce! But I don't know why i couldn't control the 'spicey-ness' of the wasabi this time round. Usually i can get the right mixture of wasabi and soy sauce. But yesterday, the mixture was either TOO HOT or not hot at all! But i still had a wonderful time =) haha.

This is the amount of sushi we ate yesterday. Not very much actually. We ate more the last time.

Anyway, I didn't get anything for JS on valentine's because if i made something, it would take space in his room. And i tried buying him a shirt which totally didn't work out because he didn't like the colour. So now i have a phobia of buying things for him *ok, that was a bit exaggerated*.

But after our dinner we passed by this clothing shop for men. And he took a liking for a white short sleeve collar shirt. And so i decided to buy it for him =).

I prefered the black colour version of this one because it made him look slimmer *haha*. But he wanted the white so that he could wear it for CNY. Oh well, as long as it makes him happy, I'm happy *haha*.

Anyway, it took me daaamn long to write this post because stupid blogspot's having some problem. *phew*, i'm glad i'm done!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I wasn't expecting anything really special this Valentine's Day. But I was really happy when JS gave me this for valentine's!

I was telling him it's ok if he didn't get me any flowers cause they are expensive (blame on commercialism). However, I know I can't deny the fact that i DID want flowers for valentine's (blame on peer pressure and mass media). But deep down inside you know that flowers don't really matter. So, i'm a happy and grateful person today! =)

Okay, the pendant is a bit cheap looking but what the heck! It's the thought that counts!

Oh well, i guess i'll be wearing that tomorrow for our 'dinner date'! We are off eating sushi!! YUMMY!
